A circuit shows “Offline”

The board lost its Wi-Fi or its power. Here is how to bring it back.

Fixing problemsUpdated October 9, 2026

A circuit is offline when the box has not heard from it for about 90 seconds. See More → Hardware for when it was last online.

Try these in order:

  1. Power. Is the board powered? Is its blue light on? A switched-off socket or a tripped fuse is the usual cause.
  2. Wi-Fi. Is your Wi-Fi working for your phone right now? Move closer: a board far from the router may lose it.
  3. Wait. After a power cut or router restart, boards reconnect by themselves within a minute or two.
  4. Unplug the board, wait 10 seconds, plug it in again.
  5. Did you change your Wi-Fi name, password or router? Then read Change Wi-Fi or router.
  6. Still offline? Hold the BOOT button for 5 seconds until the light blinks fast. The board forgets its Wi-Fi. Add it again with the QR code (steps) — pick the board that is “already in your home”.
Tip: A broken board can be replaced without losing anything: Replace a circuit board.
