A camera shows no picture

Check the address, the login and the network.

  1. Open the camera address in the test. In More → Cameras, edit the camera and press Test. The message says what is wrong.
  2. Address. It must look like rtsp://user:password@192.168.1.50:554/stream. Check the numbers: the IP address, the port (often 554) and the stream path from your camera’s manual.
  3. Login. Use the camera’s own username and password (not your Fradomos login).
  4. Same network. The camera and the box must be on the same home network.
  5. Too many viewers. Some cameras only allow a few at once. Close other viewers.
  6. Choose the second stream. Many cameras have a lighter “sub stream”: use it if the main picture is too heavy.
  7. Permission. The person must have Watch cameras switched on, and away from home the plan must include cameras.
