Circuit boards are small and simple. They need a friendly Wi-Fi:
- 2.4 GHz only. If your router has one name for 2.4 and 5 GHz, it usually works; if the 5 GHz network has its own name, choose the 2.4 GHz one.
- Check the password — capital letters, and similar characters (O and 0, l and I).
- Stand close. Do the setup with the phone and the board near the router.
- No guest network. Guest networks often block devices from talking to each other.
- No hidden name if possible, and switch off any MAC address filter on the router for the setup.
- Wi-Fi with a login page (hotels, some offices) does not work.
- Phone and box on the same network. The app must also reach the box during setup.
Then try again from the beginning (press Try again). If it still fails, unplug the board, wait 10 seconds and repeat.
