A circuit board is the small board that switches a light or an appliance. You set it up with your phone — no computer needed.
Before you start
- Stand near the circuit board with your phone, and have it powered on. The small blue light blinks quickly when it waits to be set up.
- Know your Wi-Fi name and password. Circuit boards use 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.
- Open the app at home, on the same Wi-Fi as the box.
Steps
- Go to More → Rooms, choose the room, and press Add a circuit board.
- Press Scan the QR code and point the camera at the code on the board or its box. (No code? Choose Find by Bluetooth, pick your board in the list, and press the BOOT button on it when the app asks.)
- The app confirms Circuit found. Enter your Wi-Fi name and password.
- Press Connect the circuit. After about half a minute you see Your circuit is online.
Tip: If you are replacing a broken board, the app asks “What is this circuit?”. Choose Replaces … and all its devices move to the new board by themselves.
