Add a temperature and gas sensor

The temperature and gas sensor is its own board. You add it with its QR code, not to an existing circuit.

Getting startedUpdated October 9, 2026

The temperature and gas sensor is a separate board. It does not need to be connected to any other circuit: it reports by Wi-Fi.

Add it to a room

  1. Power the sensor on. Wait for the blue light to blink quickly.
  2. Go to More → Rooms, choose the room, and press Add a temperature & gas sensor.
  3. Scan the QR code on the sensor — or choose Find by Bluetooth, pick it in the list, and press the BOOT button when the app asks.
  4. Enter your Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz) and press Connect the sensor.

After it is online, the room shows Temperature (with humidity) and Gas.

Set the alarm level

Open the room, tap the gas sensor and edit it: the default alarm level is 300 ppm. A lower number warns earlier but may cause false alarms from cooking fumes.

Careful: This is a convenience alert. It is not a certified gas or smoke detector. Keep certified detectors where they are required.
