The problem

No button, no phone. Say it and it happens, even with several things at once.

Voice assistants usually send what they hear to someone else’s servers.

Lights, routines, the time, the weather and answers to ordinary questions, all in one voice.

The wake word is recognised in the device. Nothing is sent before you say it.

Will it work without the internet?

The listening and understanding stay in your house. Some answers, like the weather, need the internet.

Can it answer any question?

It will answer questions about your home, the time, the date, timers and the weather. General knowledge questions are a later step.

Can I switch off the microphone?

Yes. There is a physical switch.
