This page explains, in plain words, which information Fradomos handles, why, where it is kept and what you can do about it. It covers this website, the Fradomos app and the cloud service that lets you reach your home when you are away.
The short version
- Your home stays in your home. Your rooms, devices, schedules, energy numbers, sensor readings and camera pictures are kept on the Fradomos box (the miniserver) inside your house, not in our cloud.
- Your online account is small. To use your home away, you create one account with us: full name, email and password. The passwords inside your home stay in your home.
- Measuring visits is your choice. This website uses Google Analytics to count visits, but only if you press "Accept" in the cookie box. If you decline, nothing is measured and no analytics cookie is set. No advertising, ever.
- We email you only if you ask us to. Updates and news are sent only to people who subscribed and confirmed. Every email has an unsubscribe button.
- We do not sell your information. To anybody. Ever.
Who we are
Fradomos ("we", "us") makes the Fradomos smart home system. You can reach us with the form on the contact page.
What we keep, and where
When you only visit this website
Our web server writes a short technical record for each visit: the time, the page asked for, your network address (IP address) and the type of browser. We use it to keep the site working and safe. These records are deleted automatically after about 14 days. We do not use them to follow people around.
When you accept analytics cookies
If you accept, Google Analytics (a service of Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC) sets cookies in your browser (named _ga and _ga_G-67F03LYMYG, kept for up to 2 years) and receives information about your visit: the pages you open, roughly where in the world you are, your type of device and browser, and how you reached the site. We use it only to see which pages are useful and to improve the site. We do not use Google's advertising features and we do not combine this with any other information about you. Your IP address is not stored by Google Analytics. Because Google is a company in the United States, this information may be processed there.
If you decline, nothing is sent to Google. You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page; withdrawing removes the analytics cookies again.
When you subscribe to updates
We keep your email address, the date you asked, and the date you confirmed. We use it only to send you Fradomos news and updates. We first send you one email to confirm that the address is yours; until you click confirm, you are not on the list.
If you unsubscribe, we keep your address marked as "unsubscribed" so that we do not email you again by mistake. If you want it removed completely, tell us through the contact page and we will delete it.
When you write to us
We keep your name, email address and message, and we use them to answer you. We delete such messages when they are no longer needed, normally within 12 months.
When you use the Fradomos system
The system has two parts:
- The miniserver in your house keeps everything about your home: rooms, devices, the people who may use them, schedules, energy use, sensor history, the floor plan, your house photo and the settings of your cameras. This information never has to leave your house for the system to work.
- Our cloud service exists only so that you can reach your home from outside. It keeps your online account (see below), which homes that account is linked to, a small registry of your home (its name and city), which devices are signed in remotely, and whether your subscription is active. It does not keep your rooms, devices, schedules, sensor readings, camera pictures or the passwords of the accounts inside your home.
Llogaria juaj online
To sign in from away, each person creates one online account with us. We keep:
- your full name and email address (we confirm the address with a 6-digit code we email you),
- your password, stored only in a protected form (a one-way
scrypthash) that nobody, including us, can read back, - which homes the account is linked to, and who you are in each of them (your user name and whether you are the house admin),
- when the account was created and when it last signed in, and the devices currently signed in.
A home is linked to your account only with a one-time code that is made inside that home (it works once, for 10 minutes). Your home, not us, decides what you may see and do there. You can remove a link, change or reset your password, or delete the account at any time; deleting it removes every link. An account that never confirms its email address is deleted automatically. We use these details only to sign you in and to run the service.
When you are away and open the app, your request travels through our cloud to your miniserver and the answer travels back. Live camera pictures pass through our servers only while you are watching; they are not recorded or stored by us.
Payments
If you subscribe to remote access, the payment is handled by our payment provider, Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store your card number. We keep the information that tells us which plan you have and whether it is paid.
Notifications and emails from the system
- Push notifications (for example a gas alert) are delivered to your phone through Apple's or Google's notification service. The message text passes through their servers.
- Sign-in codes and system emails are sent from our email service (Zoho). The address and the message pass through it.
- Weather on the wall panel is fetched for the city of your home from Open-Meteo, a free weather service. It receives the city's coordinates and your miniserver's network address, and nothing else.
Why we may use this information
- To give you what you asked for: your online account, your connection to your home, your subscription and your replies.
- Because you agreed: the updates email list. You can withdraw this at any time.
- To keep our service secure and working: the short visit records and the sign-in records of the cloud service.
Who else gets it
Only the companies that help us run the service, and only for that purpose: our hosting provider (servers in Europe), Stripe (payments), Zoho (email), Apple and Google (push notifications) and Open-Meteo (weather). We do not give your information to advertisers or data brokers.

Connections use encryption (HTTPS). The passwords of the accounts inside your home are stored only on your miniserver, and your online account password only as a protected one-way hash; nobody can read either back. The staff console that runs the service needs a strong password, supports a second step, records everything staff do, and shows staff only what they need.
Your rights
You may ask us at any time to:
- show you the information we hold about you,
- correct it,
- delete it,
- give it to you in a usable file,
- stop using it for a particular purpose.
Use the contact page. We answer within one month. If you think we handled your information wrongly, you also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Cookie-t
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This website uses two kinds:
- Needed cookie (always on):
fx_consentremembers your cookie choice (accept or decline) for 6 months. Without it we would have to ask you on every page. - Analytics cookies (only if you accept):
_gaand_ga_G-67F03LYMYGfrom Google Analytics, described above. They are never set before you accept.
You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page, or delete cookies in your browser. More detail is on the cookies page.
The Fradomos app and the dashboards of your home store a sign-in on your device so that you stay signed in; that is needed for them to work and you can end it any time by signing out.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we publish a new version. The current version is always on this page, with its date, and older versions stay available from the version history, so you can see what changed and when.
